This is my first mechanical keyboard (or any keyboard over $25) and I have to say. Everything is fine with them. Connectivity: 10/10. The keyboard with the included key didn't lose connection until I was about 20 feet away, so you could probably use it as a sofa keyboard in a long living room. Plugging the dongle into an active USB extender, but in the same physical location, extended the connection length to the point where I didn't have enough room to walk. (Approx. 30 feet) Build Quality and Design: 8/10 Its 973 grams (2.1 lbs) construction gives it a premium feel. The hard plastic feels smooth, soft, and almost as hard as metal. I can't bend the board at all. The legs are wide and otherwise accidentally come off. The combination of rubber feet and weight makes the keyboard absolutely immobile when typing. The keycaps barely wobble when rubbed, but don't wobble when pressed. Some caps have small dark spots where RGB is blocked. At the bottom is the power button, which is lit. You can change animation and RGB color without software. Software: 2/10 The software (which can be found on the website) only changes the settings when the keyboard is connected to the computer. You can also only press macros and keyboard shortcuts when you're connected. You can change animations and colors just like with hardware buttons. You can swap WASD and direction keys, disable Alt+F4, Alt+Tab, Shift+Tab and/or the Windows key. Since your settings aren't saved over the air, there's no point in downloading the software. Battery: 10/10 I turn it off at night but get 3 or 4 7 hour days on a single charge. It doesn't have a low battery indicator, so I suggest plugging it in overnight every few days. It's a very good keyboard, but I miss the numeric keypad and dedicated media keys. Edit: I've since learned that this keyboard has no fluid resistance. . Since this is common even with 15 euro keyboards, I deduct a point. (Fluid resistance is typically a layer of material between the case and motherboard that has grooves to channel water to an exit point drilled into the case; it costs next to nothing to implement.) If you ever spill liquid on this keyboard, pull the power plug and turn it off. turn it off immediately. Flip it over to remove most of the water, then unscrew and remove the motherboard. disconnect the battery. Using a toothbrush dipped in isopropyl alcohol, wipe any sticky residue off the welds/contacts and allow to dry overnight. Assuming the control board wasn't damaged while the keyboard was on, everything should be fine. Multiple cleanings may be required and the switches may be sticky. So clean them if this is the case.
