Review on πŸ”₯ Baieido Kobunboku Regular Japanese Incense - 250 Sticks Box by Beeye Klaver

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Unique scent, very food/ramen smell to me but custom

I spend $100 on incense sticks, more like 3-5 hundred a year. However, I have tried as many Japanese incense sticks as I could get my hands on and this is a UNIQUE scent, unlike any other I have tried and definitely not for me. I put it in my stash of outdoor and garden sticks. It smells too much food for me, like the smell hitting you in a Tokyo ramen restaurant makes me hungry. This is not the scent I need in my home. At both ends of the spectrum, I rely on Hinoki by Nippon Kodo for an inner, focused, and stimulating scent like incense, cedar, and Japanese cypress. Not floral at all. For a floral, happy, and peaceful scent, I still prefer SHOYEIDO Plum Blossoms. Interestingly, in my opinion, the most expensive incense certainly does not excel. On the other hand, I can't stand the smell of autumn leaves from Shoyeido Kyoto, it smells like burning. The moss garden is only suitable for outdoor smoking as it is quite mild. Anyway, this is the incense for garden meditation for me at the moment. I doubt I'll ever use it indoors again, too edible for my liking.
