I have numerous maxi dresses made with the same rayon material but, purchased from a local retailer in a variety of colors for summer and fall.I had need of a "white” dress for a special occasion and could a white maxi dress locally. I love my cold shoulder shirts so, thought I’d give this dress try.So glad I ordered in advance- this dress was NOT flattering on me.— For reference, I am 5’7 and 185 lbs., carry my weight equally distributed through my mid-section, hips and thighs and have a long torso.I ordered a Large (according to size chart and my measurements).Of Note: I’ve put on approx 35 lbs over the past 15 months. Not able to be very active, combined with age- difficult to lose this extra, stubborn weight.**Despite my weight gain, my older maxi dresses still fit and look great! Why? See below for Pro’s and Con’s of this maxi dress.Pro’s:The cold shoulder portion looked great. The only part of this dress I really liked.The sleeves fit perfectly (not tight or loose)The neck line laid perfect and, the top portion of the dress was flattering (width of chest).Con’s:—The largest flaw of this dress is the thickness of rayon material. They use the same material used in my other maxi dresses but, much less substance. This lends to a cheap looking dress that drapes poorly and clings to all trouble spots.—The pockets are visible at the hips and, do not completely lay flat.—I ordered this dress in white. I expected this dress to be semi see through (planning to wear a nude slip or undergarment). But, the material sheerness/thickness is beyond what a nude slip or undergarment can conceal.Verdict: I returned this dress and opted for a lined and knee length dress.
