Review on Square Developer by Matt Kovacevic

I am finding that Square has changed their pricing model to being monthly fees. This may be great for their current users, but I was hoping for a free trial before becoming locked in. The developers site says there is a 30 day free trial, but when I click "Get Started" it brings me back to the pricing page where it says $25/month. If you sign up for the free trial, it will lock you in, and if you cancel within 30 days, you will be billed. Also, the documentation seems to be outdated, especially for new users.
