I bought this one out of nostalgia and I'm generally very satisfied. It's similar to the classic Giga Pets in many ways, although there are a few differences. First, the sound and animation are improved, which is nice. Instead of audio cues, you have small audio samples and the animation is smoother. It is important to mention that the "cursor sound" doesn't bother either. ;) This version also wants to bathe several times a day, while I would bathe once a day with the classic. It seems like there might be a new hidden dirt indicator or something, but it's actually not represented anywhere. Not that it's a bad thing, just something to keep in mind. More importantly, I feel like this version loses a lot more health upon waking up in the morning. Traditionally you have to keep health at or above 95 for him to live longer than his normal lifespan, but every day I wake up instantly with health at a low 80 if it was 100 before bed. Remember I'll get to that right after he wakes up, so it's not because I waited too long. I'm a little concerned that now it's not possible to keep her alive. The AR features are pretty nifty too, but a bit shallow to be honest. It's a cool idea, but it has very specific and limited uses. Once you unlock features in an app, you'll never use it again. Perhaps the existing concepts can be expanded with an updated one, which allows the application to be used as a kind of "viewerโ. So you can see how your pet does its job in 3D right on the device, exactly how achievements appear on it. It would be ordinary things like doing nothing, feeding, bathing. More or less a reinterpretation of what is happening directly on the screen. Overall it's pretty faithful to the classics, with a few minor updates here and there. Aside from being healthy in the mornings, I feel like it's even a little bit easier to take care of. And since that's just the cost of an exceptional coffee, you can't go wrong!
