It was pretty easy to set up once you figured out the quirks. My VHF antenna worked fine, the unit scanned 45 channels, 25 of which are in remote areas 25 miles from the New Orleans Metro. Pairing with a Bluetooth connection is easy and works great. I like the sound quality but the EQ selection is preset and I think it would be better to have bass and treble controls. Although not bad. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. Suggest that Pyle hire a technical writer to use the product and review and rewrite the manual. If you press the >II button on the remote control, you will enter the search mode to search channels in FM mode. This is fine for the first tune, but after that, pressing it again scans another station! The same applies to this button on the device! Once you know this, if you leave this button alone in FM, don't start another scan that might get a new set of stations with different station numbers based on the local signal strength in your area at that time. I prefer to know the list of stations so the next time I use the device I can enter their number and don't want to change the assigned number for each station. I write the station ID and assigned number on the card so I can access the station I want at any time by typing its number on the remote control (e.g. #24 is 99.5 FM). If you want to access lower stations one by one, use the I<< key and >>I key for higher stations. The remote needs to be closer than 7 feet to work on my device. The output tone is nothing but HIGH power, but the AUX control on the unit (number 9 in the brochure) can be used to decrease and increase the base output power level (the power level indicators will illuminate as the power is increased). If you have weak speakers, keep an eye on them - you might blow off the cone! After you set the power level on the unit, the remote volume control buttons (#4 in the brochure) 'regulate' the volume up and down from the power level you set on the unit (#6 in the brochure). . Just look at the LEDs. All in all a very impressive and clean sounding little unit. I would (and recommend) this device to others! Small package, but big sound!
