When I bought this I was looking for some foam pieces to fill the pillowcase I had. I thought it would be enough for my project and maybe a little bit more. I have so many foam fillings. Each bit may be a quarter of an inch wide; Each piece is cut into a cube with an irregular and unpredictable shape. This worked well for me as it allowed me to fill in the pillowcase and shape it the way I wanted. With the extra foam I was able to fill another pillow and now have enough foam left over for about a dozen other projects. It's a quality foam - no smell or weird texture - but there's plenty of it, so be prepared to store it if you're not ready to use it all at once.
