I make jewelry and have a huge inventory. This is exactly what I was looking for for storing jewelry and small combinations of crystals and pearls, beads etc as a "starter" for projects. I love that they are quite stubborn to open. So if something breaks, I don't have crystals and pearls everywhere. The disadvantage of this is that you have to be very careful when opening it. I hold it tight and press it against my body with my dominant hand and the closing side against my non-dominant hand, which I use to "gently” open the top. This keeps the box stable and doesn't "bounce" when the lid is suddenly opened, causing the contents to fly out. I hope this helps others as these are really great boxes once you learn how to open them.
