I bought these for my 10 year online art class. We used Crayola watercolors but wanted more variety than the eight in the Crayola palette. These paints offered a wide range of colors, but they weren't exactly watercolor-like. They don't mix well and dry like chalk. After drying, you can run your fingers over the painting and the paint dust will come off. It also makes them less vibrant in color. But paint also has its advantages: the colors don't blend as much as watercolors if you want to stay in lines, and the removable lid doubles as a palette with separate areas for mixing colors. If you want real watercolor paint these aren't the ones. But they have their own style and a good range of colors for beginners or kids who just want to paint with no style preferences.
