Recreational activity, not exactly educational

This Flight History Set promotes it and gives children aged 8 and over a chance to fly They planes and "learn about important milestones in the history and development of flight." Although I agree that if the child correctly put the pieces of each of the four planes together, the planes would at least fly some distance . I totally disagree with a child learning anything about the major milestones of a flight other than the names of different planes. I thought there should be a booklet that at least gives an overview how each plane came about and maybe some resources for a child to learn more details about each plane or maybe how what interests the child most. It's a fun activity for both father and child. This could become a learning activity if the child is interested themselves or encouraged by an adult to explore each level. It could even be used as a school project for a child. Each of the aircraft is a Spirit of St. Louis, Flyer Brothers Wright, Blue Angels F/A-18 Hornet and Space Shuttle - Sealed in individual plastic bags. Most of them are made of foam, with the exception of the Spirit of St. Louis, which has a cork body. Additional parts are made of hard plastic, some metal and rubber bands. if the child has been interested or encouraged by adults to explore each level.
