Blackness is erased where it comes in constant contact with the skin.
So my husband bought it a year ago and he wears it every time. Lonely. The day. He hung it on a thicker chain to make it tougher. And he loves it! However, the blackness and the words are erased, revealing the silver underneath where it rests on his chest. Bare metal is coming soon. Like silver metal. No black, no words. Just a warning. Because of the mood, he doesn't care. I just wanted to point that out.
