Pockets were in the shorts under the skirt. This is not a realistic way to have usable pockets. I work in a tropical type environment in a museum. I have to wear a skirt as part of my uniform as a docent. I can't keep raising my skirt every time I need to remove my props out of my pocket. Sizes seemed to run small. Both the medium and small fit but I'm only 5'0 and 108 lbs. Both had a funky fabric bunch up in the back, not allowing fabric to lay flat. I returned them both.
