I only received this a day ago so this is a short review. Just wanted to run some "real world" Crystal Disk Mark performance tests. This is running from a USB 3 hub in an Opitplex 7060 running Windows. I copied about 60 gigabytes and it took a few minutes. You get better performance when working with large files compared to many small files. Of course it matters which USB 3+ generation you have. As another reviewer said, it does get a bit warm so keep that in mind if you plan on doing a lot with it. I plan to use it on Linux as well, so I'd recommend sticking with the exfat filesystem, but you can always create multiple partitions in case you want to boot from a live USB. It includes a USB-C adapter so you can use it from USB-C to USB-C. It will NOT work with my Samsung USB as it requires more power but that's no deal, I didn't get it for that purpose. .
