. this is for a dorm and it will be great for what we wanted it for

Bought for a dorm and it will be great for what we wanted it for. This steward foot cabinet has many advantages. First, it has wheels, which is very handy considering how many seats it'll be moving in the years to come. It has very strong sides (the complaint of many similar inexpensive foot closers is that the side panels flex slightly). While I'm not sure you could sit on it, it would at least make a nice coffee table to rest your feet on. The color is excellent and it is lined with contact paper material (not rough wood). It doesn't smell at all. It's a good size with a good height. Has a strap on the front and a strap on the right side (where you pull it on the wheels on the left). You can lock it in two different ways in addition to a simple lock. The snaps at the ends seem very strong. The only downside I see is the built in lock which doesn't work but is just flimsy in my opinion. The built-in lock comes with two keys and a plastic lock, which I don't think takes long to break (no, it hasn't broken yet). There is a small black switch that you have to press to open, and then a small black keyhole to "lock" it with an aluminum key. If someone really wanted to get into that chest, they could probably get in with a screwdriver. But you can also roll out everything first. I plan to use the second type of lock, which is to use my own padlock to physically lock the lid to the cabinet. That way I don't have to worry about losing the key. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase given the price and I'm sure it will be very useful in a dorm room.
