They are well made, durable and attractive. The medium is just right for a cat. My 14 pound wiggler fits perfectly - it's small enough to feel secure but big enough that it can tip or tip over if inquisitive. I line the floor in half with a large diaper folder in case an accident happens on the way to or from the vet. This is a size that makes it difficult for the cat to get out of the wet area in this case, but the top door makes it easy to reach and pull out the wet diaper pad without letting the cat out of the box. Anyone who has ever had a cat that wasn't ready to be packed for the vet or a trip will appreciate the top door. Open the top door, catch and pick up the pet, then let it in as it squirms. Close the top and the stool, you are ready! The kennel is lightweight, easy to carry and store in a small car. The only downside was the handle, which is basically thick wire with a thin rubber bushing. In the hand is not very comfortable. Easy to fix with Snappy Grip Bucket Handle Accessories, which are very cheap on eBay and often available at hardware stores - $4-5 for a pack of two. Just cut off the stupid rubber sleeve and snap on the orange handle and your arm will thank you. I recommend these top loading kennels and I have two. I've had the old one for many years, nothing has broken. Good and usable, like new.
