Excellent center and subwoofer

I've had my trusty old CS-8060 since 2013. After over 10000 hours of use the sub stopped working. I already have a 15-inch Klipsch R-112SW subwoofer, but it's quite boastful and overwhelming when watching movies at low volumes. Instead I would turn it off late at night and watch without any subwoofer whatsoever. In the end I decided to buy CS. -9080 for a less "boomy" and quieter viewing environment. Well this thing BOOM. I turn the auxiliary volume control halfway and it has enough low frequency effects to fill my large room. What I like about it is that it's easier to adjust the volume compared to my Klipsch (which requires a light touch and is awkward to reach). So the subwoofer is definitely a contender. Most people don't even need a separate subwoofer with this speaker. Center Channel Sound: Voice clarity sounds more natural to me compared to the 8060. Smoother rounding of the upper mids and the balance is clearly "fuller". This may be due to the larger 5.25-inch midrange drivers compared to the 8060's 4.5-inch drivers. I notice a difference. I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger and settled on this monster. I now turn my Klipsch subwoofer off most of the time and turn it on for those "special occasions" when I'm watching movies with friends day and night. Heck, I could even experiment with a dual subwoofer setup, but I'm not sure they would go well together. but someday i will try. Current equipment: Marantz SR-70115 receiver. 1.4 Atmos setup. Definitive Technology's SM65 left and right speakers, SM55 rear speakers, and ceiling speakers are SM45 models. There is a center speaker. you guessed! CS-9080!
