What was unexpected was that the armrest does not recline, but instead keeps your hands at the same level while you lean back in the chair. Very practical and easy to set up. Update: After owning the chair for a month, the bracket that holds the retractable footrest broke. It's literally a piece of plastic that holds the bars that stow the footrest. Update 2: After owning the chair for two months and not using it due to my first update, the locking mechanism broke. Again, the chair was not used for at least three weeks. Save your money, this chair is rubbish.
