I bought this to use CarPlay with my new Kenwood radio in my 2008 4Runner. It fits perfectly into the car's unused ports. I connected the USB connector to the USB connector of the radio. It worked great for about 1 week and then CarPlay started turning on and off. It was very annoying. In the end it almost didn't work. I confirmed the connection before deleting it. I removed that connector and plugged my phone directly into the radio's USB output cable and have had no problems since. last complaint. You'd better know how to read Chinese (Kanji) because everything is written on the box without instructions. Much luck.
