I've had a Microplan for about 20 years. It died because the hard plastic frame eventually broke - the blades were still sharp enough even though we use it at least once a week. This is his replacement. The frame looks like a durable polymer. 20 years? I think 25+. Also, it's red instead of transparent. That means I can find it in my desk drawer. Take it.
