Me and my 6 year old daughter really enjoy this cupcake maker. It's very easy to use, but kids definitely need supervision and help with it. First, there is an odor when the item is first plugged in as one reviewer said, but according to the documents that came with the product, this is normal. and the smell should only linger the first few times. The item is smaller than shown in the ad, so in my video I placed it next to a standard size oven mitt to give it some sizing. Important Tip: You MUST use a kitchen mitt or oven mitt to open the lid when it gets hot as there is a risk of burning yourself from the hot steam (I know this from personal experience). Also, the whole device gets very hot on the top and sides, so avoid touching it while it's plugged in. I highly recommend using cupcake liners for ease of use, although this item is non-stick and I've had no trouble cleaning up spills. .Plus, it's pretty much "plug and play". This is more of a novelty for me and just for my daughter's enjoyment as she only makes 7 minis at a time and is quite time consuming. It's easier for me to just cook 24 at a time in one pan, but I'm not going to spoil my daughter's enjoyment of it.
