I haven't had a tripod in years (they got lost in traffic), I've had old tripods from 30 years ago that probably weighed 5-10 pounds but could hold an SLR with a large one Lens on a windy day with no problems. It's not one of them. But it's functional and for holding the phone or pointing and shooting it's more than enough, although I wouldn't count on it getting up on a windy day. And I wouldn't put a Β£5 camera and lens on it. (If you can afford a $2,000 camera, why would you buy a $20 tripod?) The legs have 4 extensions and when you take them off they feel incredibly flimsy (how can that hold the camera ?), but when you attach the clamp, the legs get pretty stiff, even when fully extended. And it has most of the movements (up/down) like a regular heavy tripod, only smaller and slimmer. But it works.
