DOES NOT peel!
This strap is very well made but I specifically wanted a strap with a rough texture for exfoliation. It should be textured on one side and soft on the other. It seemed that way when I first looked at it, but once it gets wet the textured side softens and isn't rough at all. It's actually the same consistency as my plush washcloth. Very disappointing.
