First I'm glad I bought this teapot but it's not perfect. I would have preferred a more expensive Breville, but at the time it was way more expensive than this and I couldn't justify buying a $200-300 kettle. Ultimately, Mr. Coffee works well and makes good tea. But here is my criticism. 1.) Short steeping times: Oolong and black tea steeping times are two short. So you have to set the cooling time manually. which is easy. 2.) The bottom of the kettle is painted, so stainless steel specifications are questionable. 3.) Too narrow brewer: The brewer is only about an inch and a half in diameter. This means that if you are only brewing two cups, the tea leaves will barely touch the water. This also means tea distribution is difficult. As said, it gets the job done but is definitely more manual than you'd expect from an automatic kettle. I'll use it until it works and then save my money for Breville next time.
