My 10 month old daughter loves her small car. Recommended age 18-36 months. My young daughter fits perfectly in the car (see photo) so I don't know how a three year old fits in. She loves to control and honk her little horn. That's great. A bit difficult to maneuver in corners as the wheels are not quite round. The handle is too soft, so sometimes it bends. The build didn't go bad. Perhaps the hardest part was attaching the wheels to the axle. For the price it was a good buy.
