Review on AUXLIGHT H3 LED Fog Light DRL Bulbs: 3000 Lumens, 6000K Xenon White - Ultimate Replacement for Cars & Trucks by Francisco Holmes

. i am satisfied with a power loss of 4.8 watts per bulb and not 55 watts for halogens. Since my car uses both H1 and H3, I was able to compare them at the same price and from the same supplier. At first I was disappointed that H3 only has 6 LED chips per side while H1 has 18. However, H3 gets much brighter at lower voltage. Both draw the same power at 12 volts, but the built-in H3 is significantly brighter than the H1. (Update 210323: It looks like the currently sold H1 has been upgraded to use the newer 3570 chipset.) The H3 had to be machined slightly to fit the socket and as the connector on the power cord is not insulated is, I felt compelled to wrap it around duct tape to avoid shorting the case. The 360 degree backlighting is believed to be due to the H3 body rotating freely in the flange. Not sure how this will affect heat dissipation in the future.
