Light, easy to use, non-stick

I ordered this pan because I found a recipe that required it. I just made the chocolate tart and the pan worked well. It is non-stick and that was helpful. There were no problems with using the pan. The bottom comes out easily, very easily. But, it did not slip or cause any leakage at all. The crust cooked to perfection. Serving was easy because the entire tart lifted out of the pan. Glad I got it! I'll be trying a quiche in it next.

Pros
  • Good,product for French tarts.
Cons
  • May not retain heat for long periods of time

Great pans for a great price!

I bake professionally and needed some 9" or 10" tart pans. Found the 9.5" round at the unbelievable low price of 7.99, bought four hoping they wouldn't be too flimsy. I wish I had bought 2 of 3 more at that price! (still a fine deal at $9.28 each) My first dessert in them was the lemon curd tart pictured, I blind baked flan dough , then filled with cooked lemon curd. Pastry slid out no problem (sprayed first with cooking spray) I cut these into 12 portions. Very very happy with this purchase!

Pros
  • My tarts bake evenly and are easy to remove with the removable bottom.
Cons
  • Non-stick coating may contain PFOA, a potentially harmful chemical

Price was right!: my feedback

Smaller than what I was imagining (more than size of a sandwich tray) but I wasn't really paying attention to the fact that while it was 14" long it was only 5" wide. However that was my mistake. I love making tarts and quiches and while I had severalround loose bottom quiche pans perfect for a quiche or Linzer torte I wanted this pan because it was rectangular and the price (less than $10) was great.I was envisioning a fruit tart using red, white and blue fruits on an almond crust (something I

Pros
  • Very easy to release tart as long as you don’t overfill. Love it!
Cons
  • Non-stick coating may scratch easily

Great pan EXCEPT it is not 10 "

The quality of this pan seems quite nice, sturdy, and it has a nice nonstick coating. I purchased this pan specifically to use with a pear tart recipe that I really wanted to try that called for a 10" pan. When we made the pear tart, though, we were puzzled why the tart overflowed, and why it took so much longer to bake. Afterwards, I measured the pan, and it is clearly NOT a 10" pan. If you measure the bottom of the pan, it is a 9" pan. Measuring the top of the pan (from the inside of the…

Pros
  • Arrived quickly and in perfect condition
Cons
  • Limited size options available

Fantastic product!: my feedback

This pan is well worth the asking price! I noticed that it had the "revain Recommended" next to it when I was considering which one to buy. revain got this absolutely right! When used with a baker's spray, NOTHING sticks to this pan. I've made quiche' and peach tarts in this pan and none of them had any problem releasing from the pan. Very strong metal so it won't flex and does an excellent job of browning your crust.

Pros
  • Was exactly what I needed. Perfect for my project
Cons
  • May not be suitable for baking gluten-free or vegan recipes

We love this pan good for me

We are using this pan to make our tomato/onion/zucchini tarts. Previously we used a ceramic pie pan. This pan cooks a beautiful tart. We followed the directions for the first use. Clean up has been easy. The tip of another reviewer to put the pan down on a bowl to remove the side works beautifully well and we are grateful for the tip - so easy to slip the tart off the bottom. The one issue we have had is one we'll need to work out as we go - the crust tends to shrink down from the sides - it…

Pros
  • Tart Pans
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain types of ovens

Great nonstick surface

Bought this to make a nice French tart for dessert over the holidays. Worked beautifully for its purpose and removed effortlessly from the ring.A word of caution on the bottom plate though, when you fill the edges for the crust you may find you've covered up the plate and have nowhere to slide a knife in to separate it from your food. To get around that I scraped a bit of crust away while I had it raised up on a stand.Perhaps I packed it too tightly; it was my first time using one, but it also…

Pros
  • Cake removed smoothly from pan and fluted edges made a nice looking cake. Easy to clean also!
Cons
  • Loose bottom may cause leakage

Great cooking pan for the price!

Great pan! I have used twice so far for baking a tort. I have used a refrigerated pie crust that I unrolled and placed in the pan. Just the right size with a just a little left over to ornately fold over to make a slightly thicker crust edge. I have preformed this carefully and started in the middle. If you start from the edges, you may tear the crust up on the pan edges. You do have to be careful handling the pan to prevent popping your pie out as the middle easily pops up. I have placed mine…

Pros
  • Works great, but I realized that I hate making tarts whoops
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in professional settings

nice for pie are square.

This makes a long/narrow pie that's about the same size as a 9" and easier to freeze. As long as you're using a crust to line the pan (2-pc, loose bottom, not liquid-tight) this should work great.I got these to make desserts to bring to family get-togethers (etc) because they pack into a cooler more efficiently and end up being about the same as a 9" (not deep dish) pie. The bottom is wide enough that it stays flat and doesn't twist when you handle it. The darker color gave me good…

Pros
  • Guess it's really great. I no longer have it
Cons
  • Shape may not be versatile for different types of baked goods

Awesome tart/pie pan

This pan is not flimsy or cheap by the contrary it's sturdy and excellent quality. It's unnecessary to grease it but you may. Pastries are evenly baked and the removable buttom allows to lift them out easily and quickly.Every tart I've made has turned out more than perfect. Reasonable price. Good size. Easy to clean up. I always cleaned it up by hand.If you are looking for a great non-stick loose bottom rectangular pan you just found it. I highly recommend this.I hope this review helps you. If…

Pros

Non scratch, easy to assemble/disassemble, perfect size

I purchased two of these tort pans, the 14 inch and I adore them! In the days after my purchase, I've already used them 3 times. I made Christmas morning quiches, NY morning quiches, and one morning breakfast quiche just because, lol. They turn out beautifully each time and my family just loves them! Spray them with a little non stick cooking spray and there is barely even a clean up other than a wipe down with a cloth. Use a plastic spatula and no scratches. I'm really looking forward to…

Pros
  • Nice tart pan seemed to be well made. I used it for a cookie cake for my daughters birthday.
Cons
  • May not be able to handle high fat content

Great tart pan! Great price!

Wanted to try two lemon tart recipes. Hadn’t made a tart in awhile and needed a new tart pan. Bought two of these tart pans because of the great review it got in the Cook’s Illustrated/America’s Test Kitchen site. The tarts came out great! Really liked the darker finish and that the pans are non-stick. Can’t wait to try more tart recipes. This pan has a great price, too!

Pros
  • I liked the feature where the bottom pops out. I wish I bought two!
Cons
  • May not be able to handle quick temperature changes

Works as intended for my opinion

I bought this in 2015 but finally used it Easter weekend to make a Lemon Blueberry Tart. The tart removed from the pan beautifully, However, if you're making a butter-rich shortbread crust like I did, use a lipped sheet pan under it to catch the butter run-off from the crust. I did not when I baked the crust and had a butter mess to clean out of my oven before I could complete my bake.

Pros
  • Drop out bottom for quick cooling and removal, can fit in toaster oven
Cons
  • May not be stackable for easy storage

Better than I expected

It is apple season and I wanted to make a tart but needed a pan. Purchased this one and couldn't be happierThe bottom is thicker and more ridged than I thought it would be. Warm soapy water and it looked like new.Do put it on a baking sheet, I didn't the first time and it is easy to slip out of your hands. But I cleaned up the mess and put the dough back in to blind bake it. Came out great. It is a very simple recipe for the filling which is a custard the recipe I got off of youtube "French…

Pros
  • Is good but is not deep enough for certain pies
Cons
  • I needed a pan with a 1" depth and this pan is less than that and will not work for me. Returned.

Using regular wheat flour, these work flawlessly. Gluten free flour can be a bit problematic, sometimes sticking, but I've had that problem with many other baking items, so can't complain about this product in that regard.

Pros
  • Easy to use and clean. Made a onion, bacon and Gruyère tart in it.
Cons
  • May require hand-washing and special care

Nice pan, good results!

I bought this to try a new tart recipe. I followed the directions closely, including using parchment paper with ceramic pie weights to pre-bake the crust a little. The result was a scrumptious tomato tart that slid out of the pan easily and tasted delicious. The pan is fairly heavy and washed up easily, too. I have used it again with similar results. I recommend it.

Pros
  • Kitchen & Dining
Cons
  • May not be able to handle strong flavors or spices

Cool idea, but a little tricky

I like the tart pan and I like the idea that you can take it out of the mould, which I did and it was beautiful. The only thing is, I found it a little tricky. I brought my tart to a party and you have to really be careful how you hold the pan or else your tart will pop out when you aren't ready for it. Then it was a little tricky popping my tart out of the pan because it involved loosening the outer ring while balancing the middle with the other hand, then once that was loose the outer ring…

Pros
  • Rectangular shape adds an elegant touch to any meal
Cons
  • May require additional time for preheating

Great tart pans, but be careful removing from the oven!

These were great - the tart I made came right out without sticking. These are sturdy, well-made, and cleaned up beautifully. One note - be careful when removing from the oven that you have them on a flat surface, like a cookie sheet. The slightest pressure on the bottom will cause the ring to fall away. My tart almost went in the floor and the hot ring burnt my arm. I'm kind of a spaz, but it was quite unexpected, so just watch yourself!

Pros
  • Resists warping over time, ensuring continued use
Cons
  • May be prone to warping over time

Great pan, easy to clean up.

My wife was looking for a tart pan at the local mega-store and we couldn't find one so I pulled out my smartphone and started searching amazon. This was one of the pans I came across and showed my wife, she wanted it so while standing in the store I ordered it and had a delivery date of 2 days. The pan showed up packaged well, no damage to it or scratches. The first item my wife made was a chocoate tart thing (not sure what it was, but it was good!) and this pan cooked it perfectly. She was able

Pros
  • Perfect size for meals for smaller groups
Cons
  • May require special care for storage to prevent scratching

Wonderful mold best in my review

So easy to work with. You could just clean it with a kitchen towel, it's that easy. Nothing sticks to it. My tarts came out beautiful:)

Pros
  • Perfect depth for what I wanted it for. Easy lift bottom makes for beautiful presentation
Cons
  • May not be suitable for high heat baking
