This makes a long/narrow pie that's about the same size as a 9" and easier to freeze. As long as you're using a crust to line the pan (2-pc, loose bottom, not liquid-tight) this should work great.I got these to make desserts to bring to family get-togethers (etc) because they pack into a cooler more efficiently and end up being about the same as a 9" (not deep dish) pie. The bottom is wide enough that it stays flat and doesn't twist when you handle it. The darker color gave me good browning and the non stick works.
