High definition, excellent mirror effect, USE TONS OF SOAPY WATER - LOTS - INSTRUCTIONS BELOW

Does exactly what I need - mirrors the look of my windows for total privacy during the day. dark, as can be seen in the photo (which I was happy to notice when applying). This will darken your look but is more like soft sunglasses. When applied correctly it is perfectly clear and I forgot it was even on the window. Installation can be really frustrating IF you don't follow the instructions of using TONS OF SOAPY WATER ON BOTH SIDES when applying. SOAK THE WINDOW – Rinse the window (well washed beforehand) with soapy water, just enough water to slide the film on when applying. If your film doesn't slip when you put it against the window *You don't have enough soapy water* - pull it back and try again. If you need to adjust the film, lift the edge and pour more soapy water between the film and the window. The soapy water on the outside of the foil is important to allow your squeegee to "float" while you expel the bubbles evenly down the sides. USE MORE SOAPY WATER THAN YOU THINK YOU NEED. Add it during installation and add more if you run into problems. By the way, I didn't buy a squeegee to fix the foil - I used a credit card and it worked great. If you remember the foil you will have a permanently visible line even if you manage to smooth out the crease in the scraping process. To minimize this, have a second person hold the opposite top edge when removing the protective film from the product so you can keep it flat (they will try to stick to themselves - don't let them!) and you've got it This person will help you line up the top edge, *hold it taut*, and then gently place the film in contact with the window, starting top-to-bottom. downward seems the best way to minimize bubbles initially), and slide it over the soapy water exactly where you want it (again, if it doesn't slide, you don't have enough soapy solution). Water! you *get* wrinkles that never go away), you can start popping bubbles with your squeegee of choice. Slide from the center to the edges, be patient, go over the stubborn bubbles a few times from each direction (and if they just won't come out, clean that side again, look for sand or hair, dampen the area again with soapy water). water and try again). Squeezing the bubbles out will also drain a large amount of soapy water from the elastic - keep a small towel handy to soak it up as it slides to the edge. If you do all this, you have a good chance of sticking the film bubble-free, without wrinkles, sticking very well to the pane and with a crystal-clear look. Moral of this story? USE LOTS OF SOAPY WATER. MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU NEED. If you don't, you will have a bad experience with this movie. A final note on fitting - I have used other window films which had a very low stretch quality which makes it easy to get the perfect fit. This film doesn't stretch *at all*. Therefore, make the first cut as precisely as possible. One criticism of product quality control - my reel was already crumpled in place - and once a crease appears the film will crease and it will show no matter how carefully you adjust the reel. Product. This is a quality control issue only, but should be noted and flagged.
