Nikon 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6G ED IF autofocus VR Nikkor zoom lens As my photographic interests span so many different genres , I was looking for a high quality lens that could meet my diverse needs by delivering one-to-one wide angle, sugar coating, and personal casual photos. I've had the opportunity to test this lens extensively since purchasing it and am delighted with the results. I've taken over 400 photos with it, from the shores of Yosemite and Monterey to candied private collections, and even made a few mockups for one of my websites. Overall, I'm happy to say that the lens met and in some cases exceeded my expectations. This lens isn't cheap around $700+/-, but it offers a lot of value in my opinion compared to other contenders hanging in the rather pricey $2000 region. I should add, however, that if your needs are more casual and you're using one of Nikon's excellent DX-series lenses (D80 to 300), there's another Nikkor lens for about half the price. This is 18-135mm which I have also used extensively with very good results. For what it's worth, I recommend both lenses depending on your needs and budget.
