Review on DANIEL SMITH Watercolor Kyanite Genuine by Kelly Caballes

I think this is one of my favorite Daniel Smith colors. Kyanite is a very interesting gemstone/crystal as it is pleochroic (showing different colors from different directions) and has two degrees of hardness in each crystal. Because of this, it is very difficult to work like a gemstone, but it is excellent for refractory and industrial purposes. The hardest part of the stone gives this color its shine. The soft blue has micro sparkles throughout. Very subtle but can add a little magic to any painting that contains it.
