Proceed with caution at your own peril

Description for "Cowboy Magic Detangler and Shine" on Revain currently says: Ingredients: Silk proteins, panthenol, vitamin E and UV protection. However, the first 2 ingredients on the bottle I received today are siloxanes! - cyclomethicone and dimethicone. No wonder it's considered so slippery. The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC) classifies cyclomethicone as an endocrine disruptor. The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) states that this substance "may be fatal if swallowed and if inhaled, is toxic by inhalation, has long lasting adverse effects on aquatic life, is a flammable liquid and vapour, and is suspected of affecting fertility or affecting an unborn child”. . The SIN ChemSec list, a database of chemicals likely to be banned or restricted in the near future, includes cyclomethicone as a "possible reprotoxic chemical (R3) and is classified as an endocrine disruptor (category 1). This is a potential PBT/vPvB substance found in various environmental samples including biota and humans.” Let the buyer beware. I do not use products that are considered to be: β€’ environmentally hazardous β€’ endocrine disruptors β€’ toxic to reproduction β€’ toxic to development β€’ bioaccumulative
