I've always bought a "good" clipper set from Target or Walmart. Spend big bucks (let's say $25-$35) on a great clipper. The problem is that I have very thick dark hair. They only lasted a month or so in great shape. They were loud and pulled hard. My first experience with Andis Ultra Edge Clippers and I thought something was wrong. I turned it on and heard almost nothing. They must be broken, I thought. but I fastened them to my beard. I have not heard anything. no noise when cutting, no load on the motor. then suddenly tons of hair fell into the sink. Something went wrong.? I don't think I touched the hair. It turns out that when you buy an AMAZING set of hair clippers, they actually work and work well. THE BAD: You have to be REALLY careful as they do exactly what you ask for and do it fast. My old ones barely cut so I can hurry and slide them through. With Andis you have to go slowly and very carefully! Stop paying $25 to $45 for trash every year. buy It Now. I did it and I wish I had done it 15 years ago. I would have saved a lot of money.
