I bought this item at the end of October 2018. I use it to this day. I've dropped my phone many times. Never allow a sharp fall or, for example, a height greater than 8 feet (eight feet). So I can't give him a strong result. But it often falls out of my hands onto the floor and I have no damage to the phone. The rubbery look can be a bit off-putting as it fits loosely against the case, but I quickly got used to it. The "hatch" (I'll call it that) on the bottom of the case that protects the charging port and headphone jack is flexible and annoying at times, but I managed to do that. This case is HUGE and it's my preference. I would say this adds almost 1/4 inch (one quarter inch) of length at each end of the phone. Something that often bothers me is the warmth it contains. The case is a rubbery substance that clearly acts as insulation. and when my phone starts to overheat i have to be more careful or just take it out of the case so it doesn't reach a critical level (on a vertical stand), and in general it's fun to play. I don't use a belt clip but when I first got the phone I tried it and I liked it but the phone and case together are heavy and big and get quite bulky on the belt The only problem I have is is that it has (only recently) started to tear the rubber material with wear. It's still holding up, but I'm worried that I'll have to replace it soon. Overall it's exactly what I wanted and I'm happy with it but for a long time it protected his phone.
