For years I have always bought skirts for 14/15" pull down beds. Imagine my surprise when I bought this size for my new bed. I never would have thought manufacturers are now making foundations with different heights. This 18" clamshell skirt is perfect: it lays down on the rug in just the right spot. Whichever skirt you choose, measure from the top first of the spring block to the floor to get the correct length.A standard design bed skirt with a full patch of fabric covering the base, I always have a problem with the bed skirt shifting on me (no matter what skirt they all make). To keep it from slipping when I put my mattress in the right position, I use safety pins in several places to keep it in place rn.This bed frame washes well, but still needs to be touched up with an iron or fabric steamer. Has not shrunk. It has a thin stripe and drapes well. My only complaint is that the camel shade is a few shades darker than the one pictured.
