When it comes to new cans, they're great. If you are looking to replace existing 6" cans, the outer trim ring is not wide enough to hide existing rough edges. This leaves a very unfinished look, so be prepared to work on the drywall and paint the ceiling. You need to increase the slip ring an additional 1 inch in diameter and is perfect for both purposes. Otherwise stay ONLY if re-used!
