Best phone protection in my opinion. It has a plastic endo frame that holds the phone rigidly and the rubber piece is carefully designed to provide extra shock protection for the corners, edges and back of the phone. There is a thin plastic cover on the front to protect the screen. It makes a big difference when you put your phone on something smooth in the car and it doesn't slip. One modification I made was to cut out a small flap that covers the charging port. Understandably, this leaves the port open for water damage, but the last Otterbox I had I left with the tab attached, and the tab pressed into the cable I used to charge my phone. Over time (3 years) I noticed that I had drop outs of contacts when trying to charge the phone. I think it might have something to do with the cables being pinched and possibly causing the inner parts of the charging port to bend. The price for this was good too ($40). Last time I had about $50.
