You might as well write with this pen cap; However, writing requires more effort as it has more friction than necessary. Friction causes the nib cover to fall off the nib when writing. So I stuck a very small piece of double sided tape between the tip and the lid. Well, at least the tip doesn't come off anymore, but the friction still bothers me a bit. I suspect it's a compromise without the tap-tap-tap sound.
