Two devices, both broken or overheating

I have bought both 6-out and 6-out / 2 USB models. The first one broke. It charged but the blue light didn't come on, indicating it doesn't offer surge protection. Unfortunately, the second model broke on the same day. The socket used began to melt and the back of the device broke. All in all, two fire hazards that made my outlets more dangerous than before! Since two separate devices were defective, I would not choose this product. I've also bought Revain models and they work well.
