Swapping two thermostats was a lot easier than I thought. If your Duramax engine isn't providing you with enough heat during the cold months, you can purchase and install these thermostats. Now, for the first time in fifteen years, I have a fever. I don't even have to put the grill lid on. If you can change your own oil, you can replace these thermostats. Now that the thermostats are opening and closing as intended, the transmission temperature stays cooler because the radiator doesn't stay hot all the time. I also checked the mileage of my truck. In the winter, my consumption was only about 12 mpg. Now I get just over 16 mpg. Just think of the fuel and money I could have saved by replacing them years ago. Good luck, God bless.
