Review on πŸ›΄ Valco Baby Hitch Hiker Ride-On Board in Classic Black by Chelsea Garcia

Works great with my Valco Snap stroller!

I bought this to use with my Valco Snap stroller (3 wheel version). So far, so good! My Snap stroller is a lightweight stroller so I am very happy to be able to use it when traveling with two children. It's a lot easier for me to get around the airport when I can just push two kids and don't have to wait for my slow-witted 3-year-old. PROS: Seems to be quite versatile - I can definitely see it fitting a variety of strollers. Very high platform - makes walking easier. I have an Uppababy Vista with a piggyback board and it's harder to walk on because it's lower than the ground. My feet easily fit under the HitchHiker. I can still easily access the wheelchair brake - also an improvement over the Uppababy Piggyback on Vista. The ability to adjust the distance to the stroller so you can adjust it to your child's height and your inseam. my stroller is included and it is still quite compact (see photo). With my Valco Snap I can still carry it with a shoulder strap when a HitchHiker is attached. I can still access my stroller basket when it's on, even with the HitchHiker up. It annoys me that I can't access the recycle bin in my Uppababy Vista when the piggyback board is flipped, so that's a nice feature. CONS: The biggest con for me (and why I only gave it 4 stars) is that to get it out of the way the clip is very difficult to unclip and feels very cheap. If they fixed it it would be much better. I can just use double sided velcro to hold it while traveling instead of the clip that comes with it. It's not the most attractive - it has the temples that stick out and it looks a bit weird. The width of the stroller does not increase, so that's good. It just doesn't look neat and tidy like the Uppababy Piggyback, but it's a versatile skateboard feature. A little heavier but still lighter than the Uppababy Piggyback. I only notice it more because the Snap is my travel stroller, so I add some weight to the ultra-light stroller. It takes a few minutes to take it off and put it back on. If you leave the braces on the stroller and simply undo them, it only takes about 10 seconds to take them off and it can take 30 seconds to put them back on. If you want to remove the brackets it will take about 5 minutes as you have to unscrew some parts. The installation instructions are terrible. I have attached an enlarged image of how it is installed on my stroller. I hope this helps someone and you can just copy this setup. The steering wheel on my stroller is not adjustable, so there is not enough space. for my daughter when she's hitchhiking. However, I asked her if it bothered her and she said no. I think kids are pretty cool about these things.
