Reheat well, wash well. I actually had to use some bleach when heating something with turmeric (yellow spice that stains) or they are smooth inside and the food comes off right away. (Matte outside, smooth inside) FYI: Yes, they leave knife marks when you cut something because they're plastic, but what a price difference! I bought 2 sets and also bowls. What I like best about this smaller bowl is the folded up rim. Great when you have a meal with juice spilling all over your body or for your messy eaters. Children can drop them and they won't break. In addition, they are a "green" ecological product, which is always a good thing.
