I bought Boot Guard because it doesn't contain silicone. I have used it several times on 2 pairs of boots and 3 leather straps. The material is very easy to apply and you need a very small amount to get a big effect compared to mink oil and other similar waxes. It seems to apply cleaner than others and doesn't darken the skin as much as mink oil. It really makes the skin very supple in just a few uses. At first glance it seems a little pricey for such a small jar but when you see how little is needed you realize it must be a decent value.
