It's very bulky and not very practical but serves a purpose like when it's raining or working near lubrication or cooking, water etc. Not that I use it the wear all the time, but definitely in a storm or something. I don't know why they put that particular red dial there, I think everyone knows what volume up and down a clock is 🙄 I just took some black paint and painted over it, so it was an easy fix, but it stuck out out wonder fingers, even my wife said why they put a red button there, I said I don't know, probably for special people. lol
