Review on πŸ”† KICHLER 300365MWH Protruding Mount Ceiling Fan with 3 Walnut Blades and 23 Watts Light in Matte White by Katie Washington

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall not bad. But I would like to have more options.

Overall, the ceiling fan is quite good. I bought two of these fans and installed them in a large 20' x 25' box about ten feet apart. A single fan would not circulate the air in this room. I also purchased 48 inch Kichler floor poles to use for these two fans since I have 14 foot ceilings. These fans were a little different than many other fan brands I've installed over the years. It should be attached to a junction box in the event of an earthquake so that the screws holding the fan don't fail and the metal wire keeps the fan from falling off the inclined surface. I can't get the metal ring of the canopy that sits on the ceiling to fit perfectly. They appear to hang down, touching the ceiling only where the angle of inclination is downward. Second, I installed them with a 4 foot Kichler ground bar which I assume is preventing me from using these fans at their maximum speed. When I do that, they wiggle and one of them makes an annoying clicking noise. Finally a wall mounted remote where both fans just look white. For the design of the house I used black light switches. So now I have a white wall to control those fans sticking out like a thumb. For the price of these fans, there should be other color options. I'm tempted to hand paint mine black but I'm sure if I choose that route it will smear over time and it will be a never ending attempt to make it look beautiful. Customer service was outstanding when I needed it. One of the fans didn't connect to the remote wall switch and a very helpful lady emailed me a PDF of instructions which I saved in my inbox. And as if that wasn't enough, later that day she called me to get in touch to see if I got her working. Nobody ever does that and I was very impressed. These fans look modern and elegant and would be great for a living room with a more expensive design. The blades aren't real wood, but their walnut color matches perfectly with some of the real wood pieces in the same room that have the same brown stain with a rich walnut undertone.
