They work if you can open them. It takes so much FORCE to open them that you might think it's a good thing, but in the end once opened they are very easy to open again. For example, as soon as I opened them to put on my jeans, they would open again during the day with the slightest tug. Kill the target if it opens further. I was only able to use about two thirds of it because I couldn't open the rest. Tried pliers and all, couldn't open some. Out of 12 I used about 8 and out of 8 only about 3-4 stayed tight and didn't pop out as I used them all the time. So they work, but not very well.
