If you're an independent filmmaker or freelancer, you need to invest in Benbox right away. It was one of the most useful and helpful tools I have ever bought for video production. I took some test photos at home and was able to use them in a commercial recently, so let me talk about the pros and cons. Pros: - Well-built all-metal construction (it's a small tank) - Easy to connect to devices (phone, computer, tablet up to 3) - Reliable up to 250ft then acquisition lag. - Very useful for director monitors or customer monitors. With this function you leave a serious impression on your customers. Latency is minimal and is great for adjusting focus and showing actions/labels. I think that's a pro considering you can easily spend $500 for a worst latency device. - Super long battery life. Cons: - From time to time the app misses a beat. This can be once every 10 minutes and mostly happens when there is an obstacle, for example on the opposite side of the camera. This is not a problem. For high-end customers (Nike, Apple) I would rent a suitable director's monitor and transmitter. If you're at that level, you probably aren't buying this. I jump on big clients and can take full advantage of this in ads with a smaller budget. Overall I give 10/10 because of the price for what you get. This brand is part of Andy Cine which I use the A6+ with and it's a beast. Never had a problem with it. I think it's great that we're finally seeing the quality products we need as filmmakers at a price point that most of us can actually afford.
