The most comfortable headset I have ever owned. The memory foam ear pads are perfect for my head and ears. They are SUPER light compared to other playsets I've tried. The band has good padding and a perfect feed, so there is no crushing effect on the head. The cups are adjustable with friction sliders that work well and the cups stay in place but are easy to adjust. The headset seems to cancel out most background noise really well, I can't hear people talking to me when I'm using them. The microphone is adjustable and detachable, and the mute button works well and is in a good place. The sound from the mic is clearer than other headsets I've had. The sound is balanced and clear as long as you don't try to speak too loudly. The highs, mids and lows all sound good, but these aren't your audiophile headphones, so put your expectations down. If the volume is too high you can tinker around a bit or distort the high frequencies in some cases, but they're not designed to muffle death metal at max settings, that's not what they're designed for. This is a gaming headset that is comfortable to wear for a long time, with great sound and a good microphone. The sound when playing games or listening to shows or movies is fantastic. Your mileage depends on the Razor Synapse settings, for example I don't use the surround function. I prefer Stereo or Windows Sonic when using surround sound. The unsung hero here is the microphone. That's clear, and you can listen to active feedback to know how your voice sounds. As with the rest of the headset, adjusting the EQ in the software will make your mic sound really good. , thin and black. For me the perfect headset. The battery lasts a long time, the comfort and style are better than I could have hoped for and the sound performance is absolutely satisfactory. My favorite gaming headset.
