Pretty but doesn't like flocking

I've wanted to try a flocked Christmas tree but was always concerned about the flocked material peeling off. I thought a small tree would be a good way to learn about a school tree without investing in a large tree and I'm glad I went down that route because school trees just aren't for me. My fears about the fallout were justified. I actually couldn't believe how much artificial snow was thrown while working on this tree. Luckily everything was on my dining table as it is a small tree, but I was still concerned about dust and dirt and handled it carefully - I cleaned my table several times. Who knows what's in it, and I don't like inhaling such substances. The tree has everything you need to decorate and it is beautiful. Berries, pine cones and decorations are all very pretty. The flocking of the tree was quite uneven, some branches matted and others were sparse or absent as you can see from the photos, but with the ornaments in place it's not very visible. However, this gave me some trouble putting decorations on some of the flocked branches and the flocked material made my hands feel rough so I wasn't as careful as I usually am. I also only decorated one side as the back is not visible. I ended up placing the tree on a bookshelf where it can remain undisturbed and shedding is minimal. It looks cute from afar. If you like flock trees and agree that they drop a bunch of fake snow, this tree could be a good option and value. Otherwise, you might want to get the flocked look another way, adding some snowy Christmas tree picks to the unflocked tree.
