Well, #1 is just great for the price! Doesn't mix my ice cream the best unless it's made up of very small, thin, crushed pieces to begin with. So I'd suggest something more permanent with a big blade if you're going to be using it primarily for ice crushing! But I use it to make smoothies every day! A week drunk! I love that the bottom is removable, can be screwed on and off, easier to clean but needs a bristle dish brush to get between things! This is a big size! Not a mini at all!
