Review on Large Fully Adjustable Nice Stretch™ Original by Jose Strong

does the job. for a while

I've been using it for a few weeks now and can say it does what it's supposed to do - stick your toes up to relieve morning pain associated with plantar fasciitis. But. The bottom of the boot will flex over time so the heel and toe are at the ends of the U-shaped boot. I don't think this item should be worn like this, but it is still effective for morning pain. The good thing about straps is that the boot is fully adjustable and if you cross the straps with velcro. (rather than wearing them as pictured) then you'll have a secure fit and prevent your foot from slipping through the night - be careful not to over tighten and cut off circulation! The ice pad is nice to the touch, but the coolness doesn't last long (but I've heard you shouldn't chill for more than 15 minutes, so I guess that's long enough?) My biggest annoyance is the hard plastic that covers supports rear loading. This makes it difficult to find a comfortable position at night and this combined with the heat generated by the gray fabric can make your night uncomfortable. Considering you're going to have to wear this for at least a couple of weeks, you might need to find an alternative. I bought another boot without straps which is much more comfortable to wear but the fabric has stretch and the heel is difficult to keep in place all night. I have changed them at various intervals and it has been helpful but some pain still persists after 4 weeks. This treatment, combined with physical therapy and toe exercises (grabbing the balls with your toes and moving them from left to right for about 15 minutes; lifting tissue off the floor with your toes) should be the cure. My two physical therapy sessions (deep massage from toe to knee) made the pain go away for a few days so I suggest you try this in addition to the boots. The pain in the heel persists after 4 weeks but the rest of the foot has improved significantly after wearing it.
